You've just crossed the Ironman 2038 finish line in Marbella. Your muscles are screaming, your mind is buzzing, and the Mediterranean is 20°C. The best way to recover? Not a hotel room. A private boat charter from Puerto Banús. With ice baths, shaded lounging, and cold drinks, you can float your way back to normal. This is the ultimate post-race recovery charter.

Why a boat is the best recovery spot after Ironman 2038

After 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling, and 42.2 km of running, your body needs gentle movement, cold therapy, and zero stress. A boat delivers all three. The gentle swell of the sea massages your legs. The sea breeze cools your core. And you're far from the noise of the finish line. Studies show that cold water immersion reduces muscle soreness by up to 20% in 24 hours. We can set up an ice bath on the deck or you can dip into the 20°C sea.

Our fleet for Ironman recovery charters

We have 17 boats departing from Puerto Banús. For small groups (up to 5), the Dubhe (8m) is cosy and affordable. For up to 10 guests, the Astondoa 40 (12.5m) or Azimut 39 (12.5m) are perfect—both are Tier A boats, starting at €749 for 2 hours. For larger groups (up to 12), the Mangusta 80 (24m) or Ferretti 94 (29m) offer luxury and space. The Mangusta 80 includes a free jet ski, if you feel like a gentle ride.

What's included in your post-race charter

Every charter includes a licensed skipper, fuel, water, soft drinks, beer, white wine, cava, light snacks, insurance, safety equipment, and Spanish IVA (21%). You don't need to lift a finger. The skipper handles navigation, anchoring, and safety. You just relax. For recovery, we recommend bringing your own foam roller or massage gun. We'll have a shaded area and a cooler for ice baths. Let us know in advance so we can prepare.

Recovery-friendly catering options

We can arrange catering for your group. Think sushi, salads, fruit platters, and protein shakes. Or go for a light Mediterranean meal with olives, hummus, and fresh bread. Champagne is always an option for those who want to celebrate. Just let us know your preferences when you book.

Where we'll take you

We depart from Puerto Banús. Depending on the wind and your mood, we can cruise along the Golden Mile, anchor near Cala del Faro or Cala Cortés, or head towards Cabopino. The water is calm, the views are stunning, and the sea is your recovery pool. If you want to stay close to the marina, we can just drift in the bay.
