When booking a yacht charter in Marbella, understanding the payment methods for 2031 is straightforward. We accept bank transfers, credit cards, and even cryptocurrency for boats departing Puerto Banús. Deposits of 50% secure your booking, with the balance due 7 days before departure. All payments include 21% Spanish IVA (VAT), and no cash is handled on board. This guide covers every payment option, timing, and what to expect.

Deposit Requirements for Yacht Charter Bookings

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking for all our boats, from the Astondoa 40 (€749/2h) to the Mangusta 80 (€4,719/4h). This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel within 14 days of departure. For Tier A boats, a separate refundable security deposit of €1,000 is also held via card pre-authorisation. The deposit secures your specific date and boat, and we send a booking confirmation with payment instructions.

Balance Payment: Timing and Methods

The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days before your charter. You can pay via bank transfer to our Spanish IBAN account (EUR only) or via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Card payments incur a 2.5% processing fee. We provide a secure payment link via email after booking. Late payments may result in cancellation, so ensure funds clear at least 48 hours before departure.

Cryptocurrency Payments for Yacht Charters

We accept Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) for bookings in 2031. A 3% conversion fee covers exchange and transaction costs. Request a crypto invoice at the time of booking, and we will provide a wallet address and due date. Crypto payments are processed immediately and are non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days.

Security Deposits and Refunds

A refundable security deposit of €1,000 applies to Tier A boats (Astondoa 40, Azimut 39). This is held via card pre-authorisation and released within 5 business days after the charter, subject to inspection. For larger boats like the Azimut 58 Flybridge or Ferretti 94, security deposits are quoted individually. No cash deposits are accepted.

What’s Included in Your Payment

All charter fees include a licensed skipper, fuel, water, soft drinks, beer, white wine, cava, light snacks, insurance, safety equipment, and 21% Spanish IVA (VAT). There are no hidden charges. For example, the Astondoa 40 costs €2,299 for 8 hours, fully inclusive. Gratuities for the crew are discretionary and not included in the payment.

Payment for Special Charters: Jet Ski Add-Ons

For Tier B boats like the Mangusta 80 (white or grey), a jet ski is included free for the first 4-hour booking. If you want additional jet ski time or fuel, payment is due on the day via card only. We do not accept cash for extras. Prices for add-ons are provided in your booking confirmation.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations more than 14 days before departure receive a full refund of the deposit. Within 14 days, the deposit is forfeited. Balance payments are fully refundable if cancelled 7 days prior. No-shows or same-day cancellations forfeit the entire charter fee. All refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
